On Friday, the heroes in a halfshell return with the remake, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. While we’ve been kind of dreading seeing what Michael Bay might make of them (seriously? nostrils?), we still love the shell heads. Halloweencostumes.com created this great overview of the different incarnations of the heroes in a halfshell.

I hadn't realize they had such a nuanced history. The first cartoon and the early movies are the ones I'm really familiar with.

I've been watching the New Nickelodeon CGI cartoon. It isn't that bad.

Way past my time so never paid attention to the Turtles.
Sadly the new movie is getting trashed.

I agree, it's actually pretty good. I like the interpretation of the characters

i have been a fan since the black and white comics.and i seen the movie today and as a true fan its the best dam tmnt movie period.the turtles look like beasts splinter kicks ass shredder kicks ass.and all the bs on how they look is null.they look alot better than any of the lame cartoon versions made for kids.and go allllllllll the way back to the very first image they looked retarded.does it have its wtf moments sure what movie dont?but any real tmnt fan is goin to love this movie

    8. Rollo Tomasi on August 10, 2014 5:52 pm

I'll stick with the black and white version where the turtles aren't goof balls and Shredder is lethal and more realistic.
