Welcome to “Geek Bits” where we share the geekiest bits of the Internet for you.

Above Image: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Quark (Armin Shimmerman)

Who said the Transformers movies are “car commercial-looking?” What does it look like when Spock Lulz? Where can you wear Tony Stark’s armor? When will we learn Doctor Who’s name? How has social media ruined Luke Skywalker’s life?

In honor of “Q” day in the A-Z Challenge I present five funny pictures
of everyone’s favorite Ferengi: Quark from Star Trek: Deep Space
    Nine.

    DOCTOR WHO

The 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who may have a trio of villains: Zygons, Daleks and the Cybermen (via Huffington Post)

The May 18th episode called “The Name of the Doctor” will lead up to
the Anniversary. Steven Moffat, head writer and executive producer on Doctor Who, says, “The 50th starts here. The Doctor’s secret is out -and everything’s going to change.” There’s also a rumor that they’ll be featuring the other Doctors by digitally inserting him into old episodes, which sucks because they never told the actors. IRON MAN

world of Voyage Trekkers and the people who make it.  Hosted by cast
member Jenna Leigh Scarborough (Ensign Adams), topics include interviews
with the cast and crew, writing the series, visual effects, coverage
from the Phoenix Comicon, and much more.  Check out the first episode
      now!”

    • Transformers director Michael Bay complained about other robot movies, like Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim, being a “rip-off.” del Toro responded, “We are far, far, far away from that in a very willing
fashion. For good or bad, this is my movie…The fights don’t occur in well-lit, supercool, car commercial-looking environments.” Ooo burn! (via Blastr)

I like the third Quark picture best.
I wonder if that Iron Man exhibit will come to Disney World? Much closer for me.

    2. Pat Dilloway on April 19, 2013 3:55 pm

Quark was awesome. Michael Bay should just shut up already. Your movies are crap, just deal with it.

I forgot about Quark…he's a good choice for Letter Q. It's hard to say if he fall among my favorite Star Trek characters though because my memory of him is a bit fuzzy right now. Looking at those pics has me thinking of that other dude with the hair…Warlock or something? He had a deep voice and wore a sash thingy over his uniform, I think.

    5. Maurice Mitchell on April 20, 2013 5:06 am
