Guardians of the Galaxy
Possibly on the short list of actors to play the lead role of Peter Quill aka Star Lord is Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor on Smallville). He sent this tweet: "Read for my pal @jamesgunn GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY for PETER QUILL. What a treat! Thanks Jimmy. @marvel" — Michael Rosenbaum (@mrosenbaum711) January 3, 2013 (Via

Star Wars

George Lucas and Mellody Hobson are engaged!

Excerpt From Michael Reaves and Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff's upcoming novel The Last Jedi: Star Wars
"'Sakiyan freighter Far Ranger requesting clearance for departure.'

"I-Five’s mimicry of Tuden Sal’s gruff voice was flawless. No one listening—or, more to the point, no vocal analyzer scanning—would know that, in reality, the Sakiyan merchant was sitting in a safe house somewhere in the twilight warren near the Westport, plotting infamy against the Empire. No one, that was, except for the Far Ranger’s crew and her lone passenger.

"Jax Pavan, his hands on the Far Ranger’s steering yoke, realized he was holding his breath as he waited for the Westport flight dispatcher to approve their departure plan. He let his tension go with a soft rush of air and ignored the urge to reach out with the Force to give the dispatcher a nudge. It was tempting, but best not to take the chance. Even something as minor as that could alert Darth Vader to their movements . . . if Vader was, against all odds, still alive."

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Reaches 100 Episode Milestone. "From the start, the idea was to show that there were many more Star Wars stories left to tell after the six movies. We all love the Star Wars universe, and we wanted to keep it alive on-screen in a way that had never been done before. We looked at everything that had been created before us, going back to the original film in 1977, and we mined concept art, behind-the-scenes footage, comics, games, novels and brought it together with George's guidance to make a series that jumps to every corner of his galaxy. I'm very proud of my crew, and all of Lucasfilm for being part of this series. I'm looking forward to what comes next. Seven years after Revenge of the Sith was in theaters, it's never been a better time to be a Star Wars fan, as the best is yet to come!" - Dave Filoni, Supervising Director

In what is probably only a spoiler to Shatner, William Shatner will not be in Star Trek Into Darkness. “I don’t think that ['Darkness' director] J.J. Abrams knows what to do with me,” Shatner says. “Age and change in body shape.” (Via My San Antonio)

"We're absolutely exploring [Miles and Rachel's story], because we left them with her getting handcuffed after surrendering to him in a flashback. We would like to see more of what happened 10 minutes later between the two of them... We had [exec producer] Jon Favreau with us for a day in the writer's room and he loves these other republics, what they could be. He gave us some fantastic ideas about what these other places in North America might look like 15 years after a blackout." - Executive producer David Rambo (Via TV Line)

Arrow "[The Count's] a departure from any of the villains that we've had so far. I spend a lot of time as Arrow going after him, and it's personal for me for reasons I can't explain. [Cyrus Vanch is] reckless and incredibly confident — and I don't go after him; he comes after me!" - Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow)

  1. The morphing is kind of weird.
And Kirk died in Generations. Although since the new Star Trek is in an alternate universe, that doesn't matter. Maybe they will fit him in somewhere.

  2. Those kind of cameos are pretty goofy anyway. Bill's 80, he should just kick back and enjoy life at this point.

  3. The composite Batman looks a lot like Billy Crudup. (He was Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen.)

  4. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bill Shatner write another of his Star Trek books to explain how it could happen.

  5. that is really cool, now if they can mix-breed superman?

  6. wow that morphing thing is weird in a cool sort of way. So thats what the real Batman looks like..:)

  7. It is weird and cool Nutschell. I keep trying to pick out the actors.

  8. That's a great idea Jeremy. Maybe they will!

  9. He ind of does Tony. He probably just has one of those faces you see in five actors at the same time. :)

  10. I can't see it happening Pat, but Shatner's one-man show is going strong. He's not retiring anytime soon.

  11. Tonyand Alex, I think in the books they did find a way to bring him back. A clone or something. Not interested enough to Google it, but it's there somewhere.
