Watch Buckaroo Banzai's Closing Credits Recreated in Mexican Music Video[Video]
Anyone who enjoyed the classic cult scifi comedy The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai will get a kick out of this music video created by a Mexican band called She's a Tease. The video recreates the memorable closing credits of Buckaroo Banzai, where the cast marched through an LA aquaduct. It's not an exact replica, but it really captures the feel, and just the fact that they even bothered to mimic an obscure eighties movie put a smile on my face. Hong Kong Cavaliers are everywhere.
In case you haven't seen it, here's the closing credits to Buckaroo Banzai:

Only die hard fans would've caught that. Sorry, just never got Buckaroo Banzai.
ReplyDeleteI only saw that movie once, which was more than enough. I like at the end of "Free Enterprise" where they reference Buckaroo Bonzai by saying at the end, "William Shatner will return in William Shatner vs. the World Crime League" incidentally, they never did make that movie did they? I can't imagine why.
ReplyDeleteIf you only saw Buckaroo Banzai once, then you never saw it at all. It's impossible to appreciate and understand everything going on in that movie on the first viewing. The reason they didn't do the sequel is that the producer of the movie was skimming money off the budget (think "The Producers"), and was afraid the extra attention a sequel would bring would expose him, so he blocked all attempts to further the franchise. They even had a tv show based on Buckaroo Banzai lined up, and the same producer had it killed.
ReplyDeleteThat scummy producer probably did the world a service.
ReplyDeleteBuckaroo Bonsai is a fun movie Pat. But there's a reason it's called a "cult classic." Not everyone's taste.
ReplyDeletenice tribute to a movie that needs a sequel... really at this point us Blue Blazer Irregulars are getting to be to old.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind saying that I think less of anyone who doesn't like "Buckaroo Banzai"
ReplyDeleteAgreed. But the younger generation is carrying the torch
ReplyDeleteYou guys take your Buckaroo Bonzai pretty seriously.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the movie at least a dozen times. I tried watching with Director & Reno's comments. Prefer watching with the home movie in the beginning.
