How can you dress up like the Doctor
and his companions? Who should have played Batman instead of Ben
Affleck? What would Cillian Murphey look like as Batman? Is there
finally going to be a Wonder Woman movie?

Find out in this week’s top 10 geekiest bits of the
    Internet.

    10. Wonder Woman

I already wrote an article on 7
Reasons there’s no Wonder Woman movie
    but that might be changing
    soon. We’ve gotten
discussion about a live-action Wonder Woman from two fronts. First, Chronicle
writer (Max Landis) is pitching a Wonder Woman movie [io9].

Second,  according to a casting call, Wonder
Woman May Be Appearing in the Batman
    Vs. Superman
    Movie [Bleeding Cool]
    .
The call is asking for someone that appears between 25 – 33-years-old
and is “physically strong.” I hope she gets some love soon.

    TV Spot

A new TV spot “Return of an Avenger” for MARVEL’S THOR: THE DARK WORLD,
that first aired last night during MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. It
doesn’t have a lot of new clips, but it’s a fun warm-up for when the
    movie opens November 8, 2013!

    1.
Watch Cillian Murphy and Eion Bailey’s Batman Auditions
    (via
    GeekTyrant)

On the The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition
there are a bunch of new behind-the-scenes clips and some of them
feature the auditions for Cillian Murphey and Eion Bailey for the role
    of Batman in Batman Begins.

    Marvel’s
    Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
    Review and Round-Up

    Synposis:  Clark Gregg reprises his
role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles
a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide
law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they
investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe,
protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists
of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and
espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial
artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and
Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining
them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker,
    Skye (Chloe Bennet).

    Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,
Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss
Whedon (Marvel’s The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jed Whedon
& Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (Dollhouse,
Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph
Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) also serve as executive producers.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel
    Television.

Well, the first thing to get out of the way is Agent Coulson, who was
    killed in Avengers
by Loki is alive. They give the explanation and it’s both frustratingly
simple (“I’ve been in Tahiti.”) and frustratingly complicated (“Does he
know the truth?”). I like the set-up for a future storyline while not
just ignoring the obvious question. The show feels like more of a
set-up episode, but does a nice job of introducing the new characters
while still trying to give a good stand-alone story for the team. The
episode has a TON of references to the Marvel Universe, so there’s hope
for larfger stories in the future. Overall, it’s a good, but not great
episode. I’m mainly rating it on the assumption that since it’s Joss
    Whedon and Avengers it’ll
only go up. My favorite character is Agent Melinda May.

Here’s the round-up of other sites that have reviews of the show:

Wonder Woman may really happen, huh?
Into Darkness haters are wrong. (I'm a die-hard Trek fan and I loved the film.)
And I really enjoyed the S.H.I.E.L.D. episode. The action and humor were balanced well.

    2. Pat Dilloway on September 27, 2013 2:16 pm

I'll believe the Wonder Woman thing when I actually see it listed in theaters. Cillian Murphy just doesn't have the tough guy look to play Batman; I mean he was pretty convincing as a drag queen in "Breakfast on Pluto."

    3. L. Diane Wolfe on September 27, 2013 5:15 pm

That Dalek must've taken a lot of Legos. A small fortune at least.

    4. DAVID WALSTON on September 27, 2013 6:48 pm

      I want that Dalek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried to get my son to dress up as the Doctor, but he is insisting on being Green Arrow (the comic version not the CW one), or now Darth Maul.
S.H.I.E.L.D. did feel like a setup episode, but I thought it did great job combining with the movie universe.

"You're only a true fan if you know all the sites on this list."

      I don't come across condescending do I?
