Disclaimer: Last week I ran a post on the most beautiful homes in Sci-Fi and Kersmackflat requested a gallery of fantasy film homes. I'm not really into fantasy, so I haven't seen some of these movies. Feel free to chime in if you know a house that's more beautiful than the ones in the list.
You can get the high resolution images of all the piuctures in this gallery at http://imgur.com/a/3PlYQ
What do you think of the homes? Would you want to live in any of them? Why?

I definitely wouldn't want to live in a Hobbit's house because I'd always be bumping my head. And if you lived in any Game of Thrones house you'd probably be dead within a year. Of those I'd live in the Beetlejuice house--after an exorcism to expel the poltergeists.
ReplyDeleteRivendell wins for me. Wouldn't want to be caught in the one in Pan's Labyrinth though.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh... everyone's answers are the same, totally Rivendell... it's peaceful and that slip and slide is awesome.
ReplyDelete“Game of Thrones!” I never thought of that one. I might bump the list up from 9 to 10 now. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteYou’d have to order pizza living there Alex.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a tranquil place to while away the hours Jeremy.
ReplyDeleteI might like living in the Goblin King's Castle. You could always sing Bowie songs with a bunch of deranged goblin muppets, and run upside down in the crazy stair room. "You remind me of the babe What babe? babe with the power
ReplyDeleteWhat power? power of voodoo
Who do? you do
Do what? remind me of the babe"
Wow, some of these are beautiful but I'm not sure I would live in any of them. Especially if they are haunted. Thanks for posting these.
ReplyDeleteFew places could top Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz. I mean, it's called "Emerald City," after all. Ha! Still, I'd likely opt for those castles in both "Labyrinth" movies.
ReplyDeleteThe pics from the Fountain and the land of Oz are my favourites. Can you tell I'm inclined to fairytalish stories? :)
ReplyDeletemy precious....
ReplyDeleteThanks Maurice! Love the Pale Man's Castle! The movie The Fall has a couple other ones that look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion! Ironically the castle is gorgeous till you reach the dining room. I’ll look for the Fall ones.
ReplyDeleteEmerald City is gorgeous Nicole, but yeah. I could hang in a castle for a while.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely stay away from the Beetlejuice house Clarissa. I’m glad you enjoyed the list!
ReplyDeleteI was trying so hard not to get that stuck in my head David, but no dice. “Dance Magic Dance…”
ReplyDeleteFixed it Monday Tony. Thanks for the catching the typo! The Fountain is a strange but beautiful film. I’ve never seen anything like it and probably never will.
