A blog that champions the cause of geeks everywhere

Thanks for visiting. My brother and I love science fiction and
superheroes and we follow them diligently in television, movies, and books.
Our goal is to entertain and educate our friends on the world of sci-fi.

Some look down on “geeks” and make fun of loving
science-fiction and superheroes, but fantasy has been a staple of
entertainment for generations. We’re championing the cause of geeks
    everywhere. Geeks unite!

Come back often for news, opinions, and helpful tips for the geek in you. We’ve been featured by top blogs like Huffington Post, /Film, io9, Blastr (Formerly SciFi Wire), and Screenrant and hit the top spot several times in Reddit and YouTube.

    Definition of a Geek

“The word geek is a slang term, noting
individuals as “a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who
is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including
those of intellectuality, electronics, etc.” Formerly, the term referred
to a carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually
includes biting the head off a live chicken, bat, snake or bugs.” –

    Maurice S. Mitchell

The “older” twin by five minutes (sorry Mom) I have a lovely wife and a beautiful two-year-old boy.

Born in Brooklyn, New York in the early seventies, I developed a love of many things. I lean towards fantasy and science-fiction. My brother and I share a passion for all things geek-worthy.

Having worked with computers since the eighties and having seen every major science-fiction movie and television show in existence, from Star Wars to The Last Starfighter, I parlayed that love into blogging since 2002.

Please visit my other blog covering science-fiction concept art and storyboarding called FilmSketchr.

My goal is to make you laugh, make you think and excite the love of all things geeky and nerdy.

    Nigel “Monkey Migraine”Mitchell

My brother simply says, “I’m the victim of a bizarre experiment to give super-intelligence to a monkey. They ended up with a monkey that can only write a blog, and suffers from persistent migraines. And I hate other monkeys. Filthy beasts.”
