Jessica Jones, our favorite hard-boiled private eye, is slated to return and join the Disney+ Marvel street-level hero lineup. According to Variety, Krysten Ritter has officially agreed to reprise her role in Daredevil: Born Again season two.
More members of the Netflix Defenders tetream, including the Punisher, will be joining Marvel Television on the streaming site. The trade reported on the surprise from Disney’s upfront presentation in New York City today, where Ritter joined Daredevil star Charlie Cox on stage for the reveal. Ritter talked about: “It’s so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders and now joining the MCU.”
She went on to hint at the detective’s role in the now-in-production series, saying, “I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”
Hopefully, we’ll hear about Mike Colter’s return as Luke Cage soon. We can do without Finn Jones as Iron Fist.
