We don't normally feature individual artists on Geek Twins, but David Rapoza is going to have to be an exception. It started with a featured post on
Reddit with Rapoza's portrait of April O'Neal. That included a link to Rapoza's gallery on
Deviantart, and it blew me away. He specializes in re-interpreting classic cartoon characters like the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
and
The Masters of the Universe
. Not only is his
painting artwork incredible, but his attention to detail makes them almost photorealistic. It's like the characters come to life. I wanted to pick just one or two to focus on, but there are so many great ones that we'll do a retrospective. Click the images below to enlarge.
